Yeah, it's good that they gave Janeway the opportunity to do so. That way no one can say she's a weak captain.

Me too. While Picard's sipping his Earl Grey she's saving her ship. Can't beat that.

Nope! I dont know if the other captain would do what she did in Year of Hell. They probally would have found some way to crash the ship with not being on it. Abandon ship, the captain doesnt abandon ship.

OMG, you guys talking about Year of Hell is soooo making me want to watch it right now. I think it's one of the most moving episodes of the series. That part where Janeway hugs "blind" Tuvok will make anyone break down into tears. And when Janeway found Chakotay's watch......*tear*........I gotta go........kleenex, where's the kleenex??

I must admit that "Year Of Hell" is none of my favorite episodes. I find it a weak sequel to the excellent "Before And After".

Well, I have to say as for two-parters, my favorite is Equinox. "We all make our own hell, Mr. Lessing.........I hope you enjoy yours." I yelled at the TV in delight when she said that......whew, tense!! I had to rewind it over and over again; that was my favorite part (until I got to the JW vs Chakotay scene soon after, and then I was in shock.......but still delighted.)

Unity and Darkling were on today. It was so good to see Voyager again after nine days of none at all. It's a wonder I survived.

Have you been recording the other episodes on VHS or DVR? Before I got my Voyager DVDs, I found that having a collection of Voyagers on VHS helped repel "the shakes" and "withdrawal headaches" until they came back on.
