 So...yes, I LOVE musicals, and before a few months ago I had never even heard of Hairspray before, but then I saw the new movie trailer and I thought, "Well, that will be good" & now I've seen it twice and love it  So that is my shameless plug on the new Hairspray film; y'all should go see it!

I've been eyeing it and wondering? I LOVED, LOVED, LOVED the original with Ricki Lake and Divine. It's going to be a hard sell for me to accept John Travlolta in the Divine role. I really want to go see it, but it's just that it's a remake and I'm so worried it wont' be as good?
I, however, adore Christopher Walken and John Travolta....so that will probably sway me to go see it. I'll let you know what I think once I've seen it.

I went seen it about a week ago and I absolutly loved it!...i was even dancing in my seat...John Travolta was amazing in his role and Amanda Bynes shocked the heck outta me when she opened her mouth and an actual singing voice came out...AND YES IT WAS HER!...I checked many resources and she is also credited in the songs she sang as the vocals...plus anyone who pays attention to voices like that you can tell it's her natural voice...she just can't dance....I can't wait for it to come out on DVD!

I don't really want to go see it by myself and I don't want to have to drag her to see it again (though she probably won't mind). I might just wait until it comes out on DVD and I'll rent it.[/glow][/shadow]

I will DEFINTELY buy it on DVD, lol, I have seen it six times since it came out. I really can't explain why I like it so much...I guess it's just makes me feel happy, kind of like Voyager does but in a less thought provoking way, hence why I can't even explain it... |

I have heard that it is really funny. I havent seen it yet though. I dont know if i will see it on the big screen, but I will probaly check it out from the library.

I haven't seen the new one, but the original one was just on. I do love that movie. I simply must see it in the cinema this time. And I definitely will get it on DVD.

I can't wait for it to come out on DVD.... I have to add that and Wild Hogs to my collection...they are freakin awesome movies..some of Travolta(sp)'s best

I don't have a date for it yet at work...so that means we're looking at possibly around christmas if not sometime between the first of January to the middle of March...it really depends on how popular the movie is...

Every since Hairspray came out on DVD I've been watching it nonstop... I even bought the soundtracks... I can't get these songs out of my head!...
anyone else having this problem?

I have the DVD, but I haven't been able to watch it yet, because it's supposed to be a Christmas present, lol. I have had that "problem" with the soundtrack though! I've listened to it 60 times.  |

I bought it the day it came out on DVD. I've watched it another several times since then. The 2 disc edition is great, lots of bonus features!! |
