OMG OMG OMG.....NO NO NO NO NO NO NO!!!!!!!! I went and bought 'Mirror Image' tonight thinking, "okay, I can handle some alternet reality J/C." NOT!!!!!!!!!!!! NEVER AGAIN!!! In fact, the book was soo incredibly horrible that I will be taking it back the book store tomorrow to exchange it for something like 'Distant Shores' or 'String Theory', something that will not make me want to throw the book across the room or severly intensify my gag reflex! Now....why you ask....What a very good question and you shall have an answer. That book must come with a warning. Seriously. If any of you DO NOT want to read about J/C sex....this book is clearley NOT for you. BLAH!!! I will need many shots of vodka to get that single paragraph burned out of my brain! Gaaa! Not that I am a prude but OMG!! Tooooo much detail! Actually scared the bjesus out of me. *shudder* (as I down my fifth shot) Now I do not want to ruin the book for those J/C'ers out there, cause I know you are many....so if anyone would like a full report on why you NEVER EVER want to purchase this book....pm me and I will give you details. Or if the majority of you all will never read it, and don't care if I tell the plot to all.....then thats cool too. I would be happy to do that. Let me just say that this book is nothing that I was expecting, and if the author standards 'mirror image' means the same as 'total opposite' then it is correct title. This book s completley contradictory to everything cannon, and everything that is Voyager. Gaaaa! The only thing that the story had going for it was that instead of calling her Kathryn Janeway they called her Kate Janeway. Which I would have been all excited about *hence my nickname KateJaneway* IF the book would have had some substance to it, other than the tragic ending it did have. (Yes I did read it all the way through...just to make sure someone couldnt say, "oh but it gets better...." and let me just say..... "No, it does NOT."

Okay, I went and exxhanged 'Mirror' for 'Distant Shores', and even though 'Distant' has j/c.... it was a very tolerable and well written j/c.
So for those J/C'ers out there....Please if your going to buy a book.... spend your money wisely and get "distant' and if you must get 'mirrior' from your local library and save yourself the aggravation on having to return it.
