Thanks for the welcome guys.
Hey Lauren - great to see another Texan, actually there are a number of us, CMPrincess and Starfleet Rebel are in Austin, Diane Runninghorse Smith is in Baytown, Char (rapidally becoming the Queen of Smut) and Margie Lord are in Houston, Kadi is in Tyler, Aeris and I are in Fort Worth and Delta Story isn't too far up I30 in Oklahoma City (yes I know not Texas but pretty close).
I'm hearing rumblings of a Trek Convention in Dallas this year too.

;D Go Texas!! A convention in Dallas would be so cool, and even doable for me, since I live only three hours from there.

Hi there to all of you!
My name is Annick (I don't have 'nice' nicknames, so I just will use my own name), I'm 23 years old and I'm from Leeuwarden, the Netherlands.
I must say that I'm not complete addicted to Kate, but I do like her very much. She is a great actress and a great woman. Because I like her as an actress, I do have gotten most of her movies en tv-series.
Like many people here, I saw her on one of the many episodes Voyager has gotten. She did pulled my attention and I wanted to know who she was. I do not know her very long. I think it's about 2 years right now.
I haven't ever met her in real life, but I hope it will be happening sometimes, someday.
Well, if anyone has a question for me, about whatever don't hesitate to ask me! :-)

Hi Annick, welcome! Wow, the Netherlands! That is very far from where I live. This may sound like a strange question, but I was wondering, what languages are spoken there? I thought maybe Dutch, but I did not really know.

Yes, my counrty is far away from Texas...
In the Netherlands, what kind of languages are spoken there?
Well, most people just talking Dutch. But you have all kind of "sub-languages"
I'm not sure how you know The Netherlands? My country has gotten 12 "states" (like America, but ofcourse diffirent). The word we use for it is "province".
Almost every province has got his 'sub-language'. I live in the province called "Friesland", and in this province you has a sublanguage called "Frysk". I can understand this language, but I do not talk it myself.
I hope you understand it a bit?
Anymore questions? Throw them to me ;-)

Are the provinces small? I would hope that they were somewhat big so you didnt have to know a diferent sub language every 50 miles.
I dont really know geography all that well so I am not sure how they are broken up.

The provinces do all have another size. Look at this: This is my country. Each province has gotten his own color. Mine is light-yellow (the one above). I do not know all the sub languages. But that isn't necessary; all people do speak dutch as well. We don't work with "miles", we have "kilometers". But a many kilometers (a.k.a. KM's) each province is.. Don't know that..
