Salina i love your banner!! haha, thanks. I should probably resize the last picture, at least, so it won't take up so much space.

I have found myslef sad suddenly, that is the one draw back to me watch old movies with people i like who are sadly long departed and it is not every old movie star just certain ones that i wish i could have had the chance to meet, the big three are Bettie Davis,Ginger Rogers and Vivian Blaine, the last one being the reason i am sad tonight,Vivian was such a stunning and Gifted woman but never really got the credit she deserved as a performer,I cannot wait somday when my future child will be old enough for us to sit and watch Guys and Dolls together and i can show her the Great Lady and character she will be named after, for those who may not know who she is here are a few links and i shall end my rant of the night! lol state fair(1945) www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qc8t4aFyfFQthe Tonys(1971) she still had it even then lol! www.youtube.com/watch?v=aGF8SDAj2YA

Ah, I know who you're talking about. My mom used to watch State Fair a lot. I'd watched it with her, and liked it, but of course my brother and I made up our own goofy lyrics for the main song.
I understand what you mean about admiring long gone entertainers. I've often found myself wondering what it would be like to meet The Three Stooges or Jim Varney or James Doohan. Lately, it's been James Doohan. I recently discovered my skills in and love for linguistics and only in the last year or so found out how skilled he was. He was so skilled that he invented the Klingon and Vulcan languages! I actually made up a language myself, too. I made it up when I was 17 on the way to church one morning! I would love to have the chance to meet him and talk linguistics. Sadly, I wouldn't be able to talk to him in Klingoni because it's been so long since I started learning it that the only word I know is q'pla lol!

lol I actually have 2 Klingon-English dictionaries! I bought one at Trek Expo a few years ago and then someone gave me one! But I'm a bit busy learning Japanese right now. Next I plan on learning Italian. (Seems only right since I am Italian.)

hey, not sure if this board is still active at all--i'm a voyager fan and ran across this board by chance while googling something (i don't remember what) related to voyager, and was surprised to see people talking about and posting photos from portland, OR, which is where i grew up (although i haven't lived in the northwest since 2003). not sure if you guys are into fanfic at all--if so, my favorite has always been baileyb's "rules of the game," available at her site, here: www.baileyb.the-voyager-collective.cc/ . it's been almost 10 years since i first read that story--it's been around for a long time (but i guess voyager itself has been around a long time now).

Clank welcome!! The board is still semi active. There are only about 5 members that actively post here. Most of the members that post here like to read fan fic some even write there own. We even had a board fan fic/RPG going on for a while. Welcome and feel free to ask me any questions if you have any!

I've been checking in every day for new posts, and since it's one of my browser home pages it comes up automatically. Too bad I haven't refreshed the page in about a week. I finally did and see that there are new posts, haha.
Welcome, Clank! I'm Christei Adams, but I go by Mara here. Married, no kids, and will be 25 a week before Christmas (18 Dec).
