I just got back from Milton Keynes and need to share the excitement or i'm gonna explode! I'm gonna assume this is the right thread to post this in and if not i'm sure the computer fairies will come and put it in the right one

So I didn't get to the con as early as I had planned because I was still sleeping off last nights halloween party....but thats another story. I went up got my tickets and....no one was there yet! I think they were all a bit thrown by the clocks going back last night. So i went off and had a coffee before loitering some more.

The first to arrive was Ethan so I trundled up and said hi - there was really not a lot of people there this time. Anyways he is really funny. I had a great time talking to him and the girl next to him. He asked me where I was from and I reluctantly told him Luton. In response to my less than enthusiastic answer he told me he really liked Luton and that he lived with his third wife and their 7 kids in Luton for 10 years while he ran the butchers shop on Park Street. lol. Funny thing- there really used to be a butchers shop on Park Street in Luton!
Anyways we chatted some more then I told him about me living in Leicester while I was at uni all to explain my accent which he claimed is posh! I really don't have a posh accent but mum will be pleased! ;D
I have a photo but its on a throw away camara so you'll have to wait till I get it developed.

I went straight from talking to Ethan to taking to Robert...they were sitting right next to each other so I really couldn't miss it when he came and sat down while I was talking to Ethan.

Robert was very nice he asked me how I was and why I used a walking stick- he thought I'd hurt my ankle- and I asked him how he had liked Milton Keynes so far. He said he was enjoying it very much, that they had made a big fuss of him yesterday because it was his birthday - they had thrown him a party with a big cake etc. He wasn't as talkative as Ethan but there was a queue building up by this time and maybe he isn't a morning person.

I have a pic with him at the table too but thats still in the camera.

The people who were helping out were very nice - they took the pics for me as i didn't go with anyone.

After that there was a looooooooonnnngggggggg wait till the photo op with Robert (Ethan didn't do one ) So I had a look around the stalls there really wasn't much there in the way of Star Trek stuff, it was all Star Wars which really doesn't appeal. So then I went to sneak pics of the other actors. I've pics of George Takei and Leslie Philips there are some others but I really can't remember at the moment. I do remember seeing Marina Sirtis because she looked like a biker chick...it suited her. I saw Teal'c and Daniel from SG1 too - they are very hot in person!

Finally it was time to go get my pic taken with Robert - this one I can show you all



He was a bit more talkative this time, he actually remembered me! He also remembered you Van, I'm sorry I didn't get to ask Ethan, but Robert said you did very well on stage with them.
Then he helped me hide my stick so it wouldn't show in the photo. He said he hoped my hip got better soon and then told me I had very nice hair, which I thought was a wee bit random but cool none the less.

And then it was all over, except for the hour and a half wait for my photo

That was it...my day is over I wanna go again!!!!
I will post the other pics after I get them developed, if you guys wanna see them tht is.

Awe, that's so awesome Rowan. Phillips and Picardo are the two I want to meet next. They seem like they're ALOT of fun.

Though I wouldn't mind seeing Kate or Garrett again either......

OMG, that's sooooo great!!! I love your picture with him, and he liked your hair!!!( me too, me too; it's very pretty; cool color, too!!) I love that he remembered me, haha. I'm gonna sooo have to plan a way to get on stage again with those two *brainstorms a plan*.....muhahahaha!!! Maybe I can get one of them to clog, hee hee.

thank you. it wasn't that dear either - only £15 i thought it would be more.
of course now i have to get one with ethan and kate and tim and robbe and, and, and lol

Ok...how is it that we went to Cleveland THREE FREAKING WEEKS AGO...and both Tina and Mel have yet to find the time to type up a report.......... ;D ;D ;D

And speaking of reports.......I do believe there is a handholding snot here somewhere who's yet to type up her report as well............
