Five days ago, one of our cats, a young girl named Peanut, showed signs of her bladder being blocked. This had happened once before and we knew it to be life-threatening; however, we confirmed this only after 9 PM and my dad refused to take her to an after-hours clinic. So we waited 'till morning, though she was suffering, and he decided to turn her over to the pound because he didn't want to spend another 500 on catheterizing her. By surrendering her, we didn't retain the right to keep track of her, but four days after he turned her in he decided to call the person he knew there to find out how she was. That was today, Tuesday. The person checked for us. Not only did she have problems with her bladder but she also had a (probably congenital) diaphragmatic hernia. They euthanized her. The cat room seems so empty now. I miss her a lot. Rest in peace, Peanut. 2001-2007

aw mate, I know how it is to lose a pet...I've lost two in the past that were very close to me.... my Siamese cat Sammy developed a stomach illness and we had to put him down...then a couple of years ago...I had a 3/4 Bostan, 1/4 Rat Terrier dog...named Kipper...he was so loving and very loyal...he would never mess in the house always told me when to go outside...woke me up everymorning at 6am exactly to take him pee and to wake me up for school...then one day I came home and let him out of the cage we kept him in inside and let him outside so he could go pee and I walked next door talking to my neighbore who was outside in her garden...a moment later my mom came home and ran him over by mistake...I rushed over and craddled him...there was nothing I could do one of his ribs went through his lungs....he died in my arms..... I missed school the next two days.... but one thing that helped me through that was that I knew Kipper never liked me to cry... I broke my wrist while I had him and I cried cuz it hurt so much...but he stayed by myside and everytime my tears started to flow, he'd actually lick them away....just take comfort in the times you had with her.... it will hurt less and less each week.........and if you ever need to talk..well you know how to contact me...
Blessed Be Always!

Kipper sounds like he was a wonderful dog... I'm so sorry you lost him. Thanks for your kind words and condolence. <3 I'm feeling better now that some time has passed, but I'll never stop missing her.
