Awe!!!! I'm so excited!!!! I just checked the website to see if they'd updated the guest list and Ethan Phillips is now confirmed!!!!!!!
Ok, I realize that people either love Neelix, or hate him. But I LOVE LOVE LOVE HIM!!! And I'm going to get to meet Ethan Phillips!!!!! That's sooooooooo freaking awesome!!!!

That's so awesome! I'm happy for you JF! Too bad I don't get to go... I met Ethan Phillips back in 2007 and he's such an awesome guy. So awesome, in fact, that I'd decided to name my son after him (and Robert Picardo) unless my future hubby had a name picked out. And he does, so oh well. I don't plan on having more than one boy and one girl. If we end up having two of one, we'll adopt the other.

Are you kidding? Me and my siblings used to make fun of Neelix all the time, lol! He was just a character until one time when we were watching "Basics." I think it was at the end of part 1 where they're walking and Janeway is giving instructions about finding shelter and water. My brother said "what about food?" I said "Don't worry. Neelix is there." Then after I thought for a moment I added, "I get a leg!" From then on we always made fun of him. Years later (I believe it was in 2006) I took one of those "Which Star Trek Voyager Character Are You?" quizzes and it came out Neelix. I was shocked and after reading the description I was like "holy carp, I AM like Neelix!" Then when I started RPing on MySpace as Naomi Wildman that year I got her perspective of Neelix and fell in love with the character like a father or a favorite uncle. Then I got to meet him and Neelix became no doubt my second favorite character. (sorry, Tom, lol. actually, my second favorite character is Naomi, but she's a semi-regular so she doesn't really count.)

I used to think Neelix, as a character, had no depth. And then I watched Jetrel. Ever since then, I truly appreciated him.
