Have you noticed how incredibly incompetent Robbie's webmaster is? He was very late to fix the name on Samantha Who? upon its third name change and several of the links I tried were broken.
By the way, I was bored, so I started reading the reviews of Infested, the last movie he ever acted in. I haven't seen it (fortunately) but some of these reviews on IMDb are funny. At first, because everyone is saying how bad it was and what a waste of film it was, it was sad, but after awhile I just started laughing at them. I've never seen anyone hate a film this much. Then someone said this:
"This has got to be the absolutely stupidest movie I've ever seen! what a waste of my time! I didn't even watch the whole thing, it's the first ever movie I turned off because I thought it was stupid. And it really sucks that Robert Duncan McNeill was in it. He was great in Voyager. Did he have to pay for a parking ticket or something?"
A few other favorite review quotes:
"I'm guessing the budget is stolen from a gas station. When I saw this movie,I thought it was all a dream but apparently it does exist."
"I have never seen such completely nonthreatening zombies."
"Night of the Living Dead meets The Big Chill meets Invasion of the Body Snatchers meets Lord of the Flies meets a Power Ranger and Lt. Paris, yeah, that pretty much covers it[...]"
"There's a word that captures the meaning of this film. Yes, the very essence of it. That word is 'Pointless'."
"I liked the dancing zombie scene. and this was seriously filmed by a group of kids with camcorders." (apparently the zombies danced to Trio's song "Da Da Da", which is even more ludicrous)
"Sadly, the special effects (which often resemble Raisinettes flying at the audience)[...]"
"The majority of the last half of the movie involves the surviving characters fending fly-zombies off with torches and running around outside and inside the house trying to decide what to do."
"One bright spot in the film is Robert Duncan McNeill (Eric) a handsome, very together blue-eyed blond who probably managed to get through this crap because he has a secure career as a director of episodic TV."
Despite all that, most people agreed that out of the cast, Robbie was the best or one of the best, considering what they all had to work with. I don't know. I just think it's funny how many different ways someone can describe an utterly unwatchable movie. ;D

This was posted just yesterday on IMDb: "In regards to your question and comment that we only meet these guys for a few minutes; so how can we really know them. I have not seen Robbie in years. He and I actually attended Governors Honors in Drama in 1980. We were the first ever sophomores to be honored with this chance. He and I acted together for several years after this at a Children's Theatre in Atlanta. Last time I saw Robbie was in New York in approximately 1984 when he toured several of his old friends through Studio 54 while we were attending a Dancer's Educators of America Competition. If the man has not changed since then he would still be one of the most charismatic individuals I have ever met in my life. He was extremely talented and an endless amount of energy that was infectious - I mean that in a good way. His mother was a blessing from heaven and from what I understand passed away from cancer several years ago. He and I got to hang out a lot and actually dated for awhile. He is compassionate, chivalrous and his wife is very fortunate to be partnered with such a wonderful person. And man did the girls ever LOVE him - from age 2- 82; he just emitted sex appeal to no end. He however always seemed to be completely dedicated and loyal. I am still one of his biggest fans ( just as having been his friend and acting peer); let alone his acting, producing and directing career. I wish my friend from the 80's all the best in the world and hope that one day I have the chance to see him again !!! Sincerely, (formerly Sabrina Darlene Smith)" I think it's good that everything I've read about him has been positive. A lot of actors seem to have problems or something where they're no fun to talk to (the type that could be described as "the most miserable man I have ever met" - that was said in relationship to Dean Stockwell). Just makes me more impatient to get to see him at a con sometime. Posted her post from IMDb 'cause I figured I'm not the only one here who enjoys reading about peoples' impressions of Voyager actors.

Hey, I really want to meet him in person, but I don't think he's doing any conventions anytime soon, thanks to his blessedly busy work schedule. That's too bad..........I need his autograph for my Voyager poster. Hey, have you seen this video yet? www.youtube.com/watch?v=dSUgXmoXaNc

Hey, you're finally here! Yay! Yeah, I know what you mean... I wouldn't mind getting my Captain Proton poster autographed either. I thought he was supposed to be at that huge con in Las Vegas but I think he canceled due to work commitments or something. I wonder if I ought to sign up for his newsletter to be notified next time he decides he'll be attending a con.. Yup, that's a good one. These are my two personal favorites: www.youtube.com/watch?v=5UsVo0J6Uaswww.youtube.com/watch?v=kBNzJQQpJ9M

Those are great!! I especially love the "and then he kissed me" one (what can I say, I'm a sap, hee hee.)
You should sign up for that letter if they will notify you of his next event. Then you can let us know, DDL!

Glad you liked them. All righty, I'm all signed up. Now if he does anything remarkable: gets a directing job, releases a short film, gets booked for a con, or buys a dog, they're supposed to let me know about it. Of course, the webmaster is beyond negligent and I'll probably know before I get the overdue email anyway, but every little bit helps, eh? Will post anything interesting that comes my way. By the way, do you have anything planned to say to him or ask him yet?

I'm not sure yet. I'll have to think on it. From the looks of his schedule, I've got plenty of time. I found this picture made by Belanna on VAMB and thought you would like it, DDL!

That's true. I've been thinking about what I'd say but I haven't thought of anything. I asked Mel what she'd say and she said something like, "OMG I love your eyes!" ;D ;D That picture is hilarious! Thanks for posting. I found these on LJ too:

I just saw the Outer Limits episode "The Human Factor" (2002) today. The plot was this:
Jupiter's moon Ganymede is now the only hope for the human race in 2084 as overpopulation and constant warring has left much of earth uninhabitable. Space Commander Ellis Ward (Robert Duncan McNeill) must convince android assistant Link (Zack Ward) that humanity is worthy of existence over a game of chess. As Link activates the station's self-destruct sequence, Ward's officers attempt to reach the manual override at the same time as trying to get over bitter distrust. Link tries to convince Ward that the world's governments do not care about peace but only want to extend power. In the end, after shutting down Link and the countdown, Ward is informed by the United States President that the US launched a pre-emptive strike against the "Eastern Coalition", starting a nuclear war, which along with the underestimated retaliation killed almost all of the human race (including Ward's wife and daughter). The US President's spaceship, with the few remaining people, will arrive in several months. At this point Ward, having lost faith in life and his humanity, reactivates both Link and the self-destruct sequence and starts his last game of chess. Link asks about what had happened to which Ward replies: "Oh, just a human error."
It was really intriguing... but sad seeing Robbie go from being certain of humanity's value to finding his entire family killed in a war and then ultimately decided to finish humans off along with Link. I felt sorry for the character. He did a good job.
