 DON"T GET UPSET!?...it's just a question....think of it this way... Kate Mulgrew got sick and placed in a coma or couldn't possibly do the show anymore......or...Kate Mulgrew didn't even exsist (don't worry I bit my tongue for saying that) who do you think would make the better Janeway....out of the people I have listed...  Ok, I think I am gonna cry because you mentioned the words 'Kate' and 'coma' in the same sentence! I can't even think about that without wanting to start balling  I don't think that anyone else could have played Janeway. Kate IS Janeway. I hope I get this right, but I beleive that I heard somewhere that she said that she started putting parts of her personality into Janeway...so nobody else could play her. From the list though...I don't even know who Kathleen Turner is but I didn't like the other ones so I picked her LOL! |

My nieces and I noticed something the other day. We had just finished watching Voyager and decided to take a break by going through some old videos. We found an old episode of Batman. It was a Catwoman episode, with Julie Newmar. All of my nieces looked at me and said that she reminded them of Captain Janeway, especially her voice. I had never thought about it before, but the more I watched, the more I had to agree.......even some of her facial expressions reminded me of Kate. I didn't mind because Julie Newmar's catwoman was always one of my favorite characters. Just a thought.

Well, I have to agree. Kate is Janeway, and no one could have done it better. I dread the thought of Kate NOT portraying Janeway...like if Genvieve hadn't left....The mere idea makes me want to cry....
However, I couldn't help but notice that Kathleen Turner received the most votes as a possible Janeway. That made me oddly happy and proud inside because Kathleen Turner is my cousin on my father's side. (Well, quite technically she is my grandfather's cousin, but it all works out.)
