Haha, you're not the first to ask for the story, Salina. I've decided that I will share it as it wouldn't be bragging; Manu's just a very flirty person . I started typing it out, but haven't finished it yet. It's not that it's that long; I'm just back on my normal schedule. Well, normal except for Josh being gone for two weeks, so I'm also taking time to get the apartment ready to move. We're not moving to WA yet, but our lease here ends in August and we're tired of this complex. It's the cheapest rent around for a reason

I know, I know.... It's been a crazy few weeks. We've been looking for a house to move into and finally found one. Now we've got to start packing and finally decide on the paint color for the living room. Tonight, while Josh is gone, I have to work on my 2nd for-fun job and then really get crackin' on the packin'! If I feel satisfied with how much I pack, I'll take time out to finally post the Manu story. It's really nothing big, but he's just a fun flirt, haha.

Forgive me as this may be long. I've kept a diary since I was 9 and tend to be very thorough. And there is going to be more Garrett in this story, too, because that's just how thorough I am, haha.

It started with the photo op Sunday morning. I was the second one in line. The guys didn't want to just stand there for pictures; they did something different with everyone (except their faces were the same in all the of them, haha). I went in there and Garrett recognized me and said hi and then they asked if it was OK that we do something crazy. I readily agreed. We stood there for a couple seconds thinking, then Manu told me to turn around and stand between them. Then he told me to stick my leg up to Garrett and we'd do some kind of sexy pose. He asked if it was OK that he hold me like he did and I said it was fine. I wasn't sure what face to make and was somewhere between a sexy face and a crazy face like Garrett's when the picture was taken. We looked at the preview on the computer and thought it was great. Then, Manu took my hand (like to shake it, but we didn't actually shake) and asked my name and I told him. Then I thanked them, we said good-bye, and I walked out.

It was about 2:30 when Manu and Garrett were both on stage and I went to see them, then went to get my picture when they left the stage. I went over to Garrett's table so I could show him, but he wasn't there. My friend Aimee was his handler, so I still went over to show her. She figured he'd either be back soon or he went for a smoke break. After waiting for a while, I decided to see if Manu was at his table (which he wasn't) and then go back to registration and just come back later.

So, after about 45 minutes, I texted Aimee to ask if Garrett was at his table and she said he was. So, I finished what I was doing, which took about 3 minutes, and took the picture to his table. When I got there it was only Aimee and she said I had just missed him cuz he went out for a smoke break to talk to someone . I didn't want to leave and come back again, so I just sat down to wait. He finally came back and he and one of the exhibitors started shooting peanuts at each other with little crossbows ;D. After a little while, Aimee took my picture and showed it to Garrett. He laughed and commented about the fact that he and Manu made the same face in all the pictures. Then, he signed it! (First writing "evil" and pointing it at Manu.) He asked how I spell my name and did a double-take when I showed it to him on my badge, lol. I sat there for a short while longer, then decided I should head over to Manu's table.

When I got there, I guessed he was getting ready to leave because they were almost finished cleaning off his table. As soon as I said hi to him, he walked around the tables and gave me a hug and asked what I was doing over here. Still in the hug, I told him, "I knew I'd kick myself later if I didn't come talk to you." He responded as we let the hug go, "I wish we could have hung out more." Then, he took the picture and made some small-talk as he signed it, first pointing "hot" at me. I don't remember what he said as we said good-bye, but it was something flirty.

So, anyway, I was on a high the rest of the day. Exhausted, but too excited to sleep. I watched three VOY episodes that night, all including Icheb. Even after going to bed, I couldn't sleep. I kept going on Facebook to see if there was any sign that maybe Garrett or Manu had seen the picture when I posted it. It was about 2:30 in the morning when I saw I got a message from Manu. Now, he'd added me as a friend in May last year and we messaged back-and-forth for a while and I included the fact that I was married. My guess is that this night he went to message me and read our old messages when he saw we'd already talked on FB. I hadn't originally planned on sharing them, but here's the messages:

Manu: Why now long story about me. Sorry sweetie, I didn't know you were this Christei! If we meet again I won't flirt so hard, nice to meet you in person.

Me: Haha it's ok. I enjoyed the flirting *wink*. It was great to meet you, too. My 15-year-old self would be freaking out if I'd known you'd someday flirt with me, haha.

Manu: You're abso-stunning, but I just wouldn't have said it if I knew you we're ringed up....I'm so full of it...I totally still would have. Anyway, I'm glad your happy; your soul shines right through you girl. Onward...

I absolutely love sci-fi conventions. Trekkies are so lucky. What other genre of television/movies gathers the stars together to become personable to the fans?

Ha ha ha, well that's just awesome. I can only hope Zachary Quinto feels the same... or Chris Pine....Mmmm hmmm.
