OKay..... Here is my take. Tim Russ told Sarah and I, that Kate was about as close to her character as they come. (meaning Janeway, obviously) So....with that said, Kate is probably just about a stubborn as Janeway; therefore....there is no way.....in Janeway's Year of Hell.....that you or anyone will be able to change her mind on J/C. Now.....in regard to Beltrane.....and being handsome, which I think he is...I won't lie. But I also think my best friend Timmy is hot and sexy.....but he is a dog and I wouldn't want to be with him for that only purpose. I stand beside Kate!  Until she talks polotics....then I go in search of my butterfly again.  |

Subject #1: Yes, Kate was not for J/C, but not necessarily for the same reasons that have been brought up in this thread. Kate didn't like the idea of J/C, not because she thought Chakotay was bad for her, but because it would'nt have been appropriate for a Captain to have a romantic relationship with her first officer. It's the same reasoning she gave why her and Jaffen wouldn't have been able to have a relationship if he joined her crew in Workforce (and why Janeway was so upset when she had to say goodbye- she was torn between her feelings for him and her duty as a Captain).   Subject #2: Is that the Timmy that said he didn't see what the big deal was about Seven, that Janeway was way hotter? I like Timmy.........Timmy's a good guy. Let's play "Let's pick KJ a man" and start with Timmy. Why is he a dog?  Subject #3: You guys agree with Kate on J/C but not on her politics. I agree with Kate on her politics, but not on the J/C thing. Weird...........  |

Okay, so.....
One: I like Timmy....FINE.....*throws hands up in the air* I admit it!!!
Two: Both parties have good points.....
Three: I'll just drop my shovel and walk away from the hole......
I think your both right.....Kate didn't care for the relationship with Beltran.....I do think that she did have some personal feelings also in the mix....aside from the "interfering with rank' crap......and also I do think that the Captain/First Officer thing was the main thing keeping it from happening. But lets face it ladies.....it never happened. All the J/cers can cling to vids and fanfic (Quiet JF, am not) cause there are a crap-load of them out there, and all the anti-J/cers can rejoice merrily in the streets because it never EVER happen.
YAY!
Can we talk about butterflies.....now?

Agreed. lets talk about butterflies, in fact I saw one in the "Reasons we Like Kate" thread. I chased it here. It was red and black and had an interesting linear marking on its wing that sort of resembled a maze........hmmm, interesting. What could it mean, what could it mean??

u guys are too funny! can i have some of what ur all on? I wanna see the butterflies too!
I found and read mosaic and i stand corrected Janeways Mark is not a wuss...its just every other Mark in universe. lol.
Oh and while there are rules on a Captain and First officer dating there apparently aren't any on co stars dating which i heard they took full advantage of so it seems to me KM got her coffee cake and ate it too! ha ha ;D

Ewe, gross!!! That is a totally unconfirmed rumor, and I personally don't put a single bit of weight into it!!! She had already met Tim the year before, and I, for what its worth, believe that she was so totally gaa-gaa over him, that she wouldn't even think about Beltran.......gross......
