Okay... I kind of had a different opinion than JF did. A radically different one. For the faint or weak of heart, don't highlight the following text.
Of the three misfits, Harren was my favorite. I found Telfer incredibly annoying, Celes tolerable but not wonderful, and Harren to be amusing (his first words to the captain were, "are you lost?" - definitely sets the tone for the character). I thought Deck 15 was kind of like the "Bat Cave", inasmuch that it was nicely secluded and loaded with technology. I don't blame him for hanging out in there, where it's nice and quiet, the only sound being the low hum of the warp drive and the occasional passerby. I'd have liked to see a follow-up to the episode to see how our three misfits made out in the following weeks, and how the experience changed their conducts.
I thought it was a good episode.

I have to agree with JF. Harren drives me crazy. Especially in the shuttle. OMG he is annoying.

Oh no....the other two I can handle. The other two did NOT have the audacity to sass my captain. NOBODY sasses Janeway and gets away with it. NOBODY!!!!!!!

I loved the chromosomes quote too. I liked how she handled him as well, especially when he shot the alien.

JANEWAY: Just making conversation. HARREN: Conversation filled with unspoken assumptions, which I don't agree with. I'm a product of my nucleic acids. Where and how I was raised are beside the point. So if you're trying to understand me better, questions about my home planet are irrelevant. JANEWAY: All right then. How's your thirteenth chromosome? Missing a couple of base pairs in gene one seventy eight?
That help?

yes the soup is cool! I always remember the zero g is fun thing but not what it stands for. I guess i really don't need it anyways. Have u guys ever used the quotes and insults Janeway and the others use? Or am i on my own? I asked someone who reminded me of Harren if they were missing base pairs in gene 178 and i regularly call people 'quasi cardassian totalitarian' (futures end - it's what the homeless captain braxton calls the social workers) its the little things that get me though the day

Zeta particle derivation, Gamma wave frequency, Ion distribution, Flow rate of positrons.........hee hee (I like to say it to people and then they're like, "WTF???"- it really confuses them.)
