I know Mel watches Firefly... I finally Netflix'd it and I saw the first two episodes already; more are on their way. I'm not entirely sure whether I like it or not yet but it would be fun to see how many Browncoats are on here. As for Farscape... I started watching this recently and am slowly becoming addicted. It really is a lot of fun! I'm actually contemplating buying it sometime (right now it's waaay too expensive) and I only buy things I know I'll always enjoy watching, so that means something. :]

That's awesome! Who's your favorite character? Mine is Rygel. I like some aspects of Firefly and some others I don't like. There was this fairly lengthy prostitution scene in the pilot and if you don't want to be exposed to something like that, it might be better to avoid it. Besides that, I really am starting to like it. It's pretty funny. :]

So far my two favorites are Mal and Wash. Wash's dinosaur scene in Serenity (pilot, not movie) was priceless. "Ah, curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal!"

What's your favorite episode? So far I really loved "Our Mrs. Reynolds" - the final scene where Mal leaves Inara, having incorrectly surmised how she'd gotten the drug on her lips, is absolutely priceless.

I love the episode where Mal helps his "friend" well she really isnt a friend, but they are trying to steal a priceless gun and she ends up leaving him naked in the desert. When his ship lands and he crew comes out he is walking towards them held held high like nothing is wrong. I laugh my ass off ever time. LOL

Hah, I haven't seen that one yet. The next two disks are on their way, the last two, so I should be seeing it really soon. Do they ever explain why Wash loves dinosaurs so much?

I actually just saw that one a few minutes ago - I drove to the post office just to pick Firefly up. I'm thinking of myself as a Browncoat more and more. Anyway... that episode where it shows how Mal got Serenity and his crew was incredible. Wash with a mustache bugging Zoe, Kaylee solving a problem Mr Genius Mechanic couldn't.. that was priceless. But it was also the heaviest episode I've seen; I darn near cried when they left Mal all by himself and he stood in the middle of the cargo bay, waiting for his miracle while the oxygen depleted. Very well-written episode, I think. :]

I've only seen maybe 1/2 an episode of Farscape, but this Firefly sounds intriguing...

I'm actually right about to finish the 4th disk. I've been watching them like there was no tomorrow. The last one I saw was where Inara told Mel she had to leave and I was like.... omg. Because it totally wasn't what I was expecting her to say. I thought, with them both feeling "truthsome" that they'd finally talk about the nature of their association, but she must have decided she could only have one or the other (her job or him) and chose her job. That's just my theory though, will have to see the next one to see what happens next.. which I'm about to do.
