Hehehe...we all have our faves. My biggest problem with the whole "book" thing, is that the writer's get it "almost right". Being such a huge fan of the series I have developed definite ideas on how the characters should act and react. Each book for me has been kind of "oh man, why did they write that" in at least a couple of places. I have had to literally say to myself, "it's fiction, it's not the tv show, it has to have more depth, etc".

Oh, I know what you mean, mel and I discussed, for over an hour whether Janeway and Chakotay would have been drinking in her ready room in the first book, Cohesion (I think).

I see them drinking on their off hours, in her quarters....like they always did....but ya...in her ready room....so not! I don't think that was Janeway at all....but that is just me....even as I was reading it I was going 'what?!'....

Ya, I'm sorry but if she wouldn't bring Jaffen with her because of "fraternization"....she would NOT be drinking on the job! Please! And I'm still kinda angry about that too....(the Jaffen thing, not the book  |

I remember that debate JF. We were both angry about that one, and trying to figure out why the would portray janeway like that.

ok, so I was looking for a book to read today, and while I have about 12 Voyager books I have yet to read, I decided instead, to re-read the String Theory books. However, I am only re-reading the first two books. As far as I am concerned the third one does not exist. When I am done with the second one, I will simply formulate my own, far more superior ending!! Mwahahahahahaha......

The third book was the interesting one because Kes appears in it. However, I wasn't perfectly happy with it. OK, the author tried to correct the damage made to Kes in the horrible episode "Fury" but still it wasn't the come-back story I wanted. My own Kes come-back story is much better!  I can also understand that fans of captain Janeway may not be so happy with the String Theory books. |

I can also understand that fans of captain Janeway may not be so happy with the String Theory books. not so happy? More like I was ready to have my own book burning party in the back yard!! That book was a disgrace to the good Janeway name!!!!! |

Love String Theory series. "Cohesion" is my fav. voyager book. I even photoshopped a picture for it  lol, i'm such a dork...or at least was |
