OMFG..........this book was awesome!!! It was very believable and true to the characters. There was a lot of humor in it (especially between 7 and B'Elanna, as well as Tuvok and Paris, Janeway and the Doctor!!) Humor was always one of the things I loved most about Voyager, as well as the exciting plots. This book really captured the essence of the show. It could have easily been a two parter or a season finale/premier for Voyager. I was on the edge of my seat and couldn't put it down (there went my whole Labor Day- totally worth it!!!) It also introduces an interesting threat to the Federation, or actually a dark part of the Federation, that explains why Janeway went so over the top in EQUINOX. This story takes place a few days before the events of the Equinox episode.......one can see the state of mind Janeway falls into by the end of it, having learned of such a disturbing revelation about her beloved Federation. This story was beautifully written and I highly recommend it.
