OKay change from happiness to bitching. This d**n Physics class is going to drive me f**king nuts. It is one thing when you are working on a problem were you can actually see that thing happening. But this physics class is electric fields and particles. I cant see that crap so I cant understand it. I got my first quiz back the other day with a 77%. Talk about a blow. This class is really making me reconsider what the hell I am doing and why I am doing it. Yeah I think that i am about ready to scream.

Oh and PS. This class is the reason why I havent been online alot. BLAH

My wonderful physics teacher said that his worst score when he went to college was his first semester of physics. He now has a Ph. D. in the stuff and expects us high school seniors to turn in college level work.
He's like you - he's mostly a solid state man. Personally, I'm the other way around, I prefer nuclear physics and space-time physics. ;D The reason for that is that while I'm mostly a visual person, for whatever reason I'm not with physics, so what I retain is the words. Words make sense to me, so so does the course. -shrug-
Of course, I can definitely relate to your situation too. I'm having to drop precalculus while I still can because it's killing my 4.0 in math and I want to have a good shot at a scholarship this year. I call it an intelligent retreat, not a failure (although it drives me NUTS that I couldn't handle it!). It had me skipping meals and staying up all hours of the night just to turn in work that was usually wrong anyway.
Have you talked to your teacher/professor about it? He might be willing to give you individual time to help explain things to you.
