-sigh- I'm very very disappointed that Obama won. =[ I was sure McCain would win Ohio and when I saw that he didn't my heart sank. I got to see McCain at a rally he attended at my school last Thursday. It was awesome. Personally I enjoy the pre-election guff, it can be exciting and I love debates (I am, after all, on my school's public forum debate team). It's easier for me to enjoy because I always vote for my party so I'm not being pulled back and forth by propaganda. I just like the banter.

Awe.... I'm so sorry DDL, that you're sad. I would have been so sad if McCain won, too. Having said that I just have to say .......... I saw Obama in Portland and was completely memorized by him. I have generally been a leaning republican, however Obama was so inspiring... and that moment became the very first time I believed in someone and the hope of a better future so much, that I actually got out and involved, helped volunteer and became passionate about politics. However, this Presidential Race was (no matter how the race would have went) a very historic step for us and our country. I am so proud to say that I voted for the first African-American President of the United States. And even if Obama would have lost Sarah Palin would have got just as much respect from me had she became the vice president, and I think a lot of people, sadly, are letting the significance and importance of that get lost in bitter resentment. I saw a lot of that today and it makes me sad.

Well DDL, I share your sadness. I was very disheartened when I went to bed last night. I'm afraid that our country has made a grave mistake.
