Not sure why we need another Kate Mulgrew thread, but still I'm sure I can find a reason if I try hard enough. ;D I thought that perhaps, in our impending encounters with Her Majesty, we could post our favorite pics or clips or comments, or whatever. If you have something about Kate that you love, lets post it here. I love reading about all the different things that people like about her. So to start off, here is one of my absolute favorite pictures of her. She looks positively angelic!

She is so beautiful. Even if you aren't a Kate Mulgrew fan, you can't help but notice her eyes light up when she smiles.

ok, more pictures, need more pictures. [I'm not an addict, I can quit anytime I want to...seriously....I'm not kidding] Old picture And some other really pretty ones I found.... I love this one because it's so different....with her hair pulled back and the light, she looks so innocent and her features are so soft, compared to how strong they usually are

Oi Vey, JF your gonna be sorry you told me how to do this....hehehe. [channeling Tuvok] You're statement is rather illogical. Inorder for me to be sorry I told you how to load pictures, I must first grow tired of viewing pictures of Kate/Janeway. That is an impossibility. ;D Ok, that was fun.

So I need a life. It is 2 am and I am watching Voyager and looking for more Kate photo's. *sigh* I was also on e-bay and her nephew is selling Kate's screenplay copy of the Episode 'Shattered.' Which is one of my favorites! I wanna pout! I wanna grab my blankie, stomp my feet, throw myself onto the floor, and pout! Like I have two-hundred dollars to by it. Ha. Still its NOT fair.....but life seldom is. Here's another picture for my late night scavenger hunt. Right at the moment its my background...I miss Kes.

So I was reading a report from a convention Kate did in November of 2001, just months after Voyager ended. The way that she talked about the show just made me want to cry.
All right. It’s been a very exciting year for me. I cannot believe seven months have passed. And passed they have. It’s over. It’s shockingly, brutally, abruptly, suddenly, immediately – (addressing someone in the audience) she’s looking at me – how long can this woman go on – over! And if you think that its remnants are difficult you should have been there the final day. Let me tell you how it really ended. Want to hear?
I’m sure you all have delusions of grandeur about how it all ended. Flowers thrown at me! Handsome men flinging themselves at me! And the CEO of Paramount telling me he couldn’t live without me!
No.
I worked for a week all by myself. As you’ll recall, the last two shows were pretty much Janeway and Janeway. So I had a lot of post production work to do. Blue screens, green screens, all by myself. I did it. It was the last day and I swear to God, the director said, “Cut, print, good.” The lights went out. Boom. On the bridge. On the bridge, one by one the crew of about six that were left came, embraced me “Thank you for a wonderful seven years. Thank you.” And I turned, I heard a noise, I turned and somebody was dismantling my chair. My chair. I said, “I don’t know you very well, but stop it!”
Of course it ended on a grace note, as life usually does – just let it. I stood there in the dark – I will admit that I was on the verge of tears – it was profoundly upsetting for me to be alone on that set - and I saw a silhouette in the doorway of the briefing room, which abuts the bridge, and I know that silhouette very well – it was my darling Bob Picardo, who was equally quiet and very still, who had come by, all by himself having understood that I was going to be alone. And he just walked over to me, put his arms around me. We looked at each other, we both had tears in our eyes and I said, “Well Baby, I guess that’s all she wrote.” …. Thank God for Bob Picardo. And all the Bob Picardos of the world. It was a great time, ladies and gentlemen. A wonderful time in my life. You can imagine, ladies particularly, to be the first woman captain. Dare I say, the last?? They won’t go through that again!

Everytime I read her tell about the end I get all misty-eyed too! Kate is an unbelievable story teller, one of whom I cannot wait to read her poetry. I can't help the when she tells it, I can see myself there, as if I am watching it. There are not many people out there who can penatrate our imaginations and paint shuch wonderful pictures, at least not many that I have heard, and not just by simply telling a story. And I for one, cannot wait to hear some of these tales told by herself, in person.

Here is the latest picture of Kate. This is from an alzheimer's photo shoot. The sweatshirt she's wearing is part of a huge campaign the Alzheimer's Association is launching to raise awareness.
