I sure did... my secret admirer strikes again. Past few months I've been finding different gifts in different places. Yesterday a single white rose was slipped into the open back window of my car...still have no clue of who it is.... better yet... no clue of what about me they could be interested in lol.

That sounds really sweet, guys. My Valentine's day wasn't so hot - I went to my mom's facility and volunteered to help set up the party but the activities director is a moron so all they did was play some Celine Dion (for people in their 90s) and hand out store-bought cookies. It lasted for all of fifteen minutes. Everyone working there decided it was the biggest screwup of a party since several years ago when the activities director killed Christmas too (even the tree was leaning and some residents didn't even get presents!). Mom is replacing the activities director. That and a friend of mine kept moaning about how he didn't have a Valentine. It was mildly annoying since he kept going on and on about it.

My Valentine's Day was somewhat like all Valentine's Days for me (except the two where I actually had a Valentine). Except this year I have two jobs. (Which brings us to a somewhat interesting part:) I worked on Valentine's Day and the manager working that night asked me to go to the food court and get her something (she wrote on a piece of paper specifically) and when I got there there wasn't a line. So I ordered and the guy at the register kept trying to talk to me while I waited for the sub to get toasted. (But you know me, not much of a talker.) He asked me if I had any Valentine's Day plans and I said no. He was like, "That sucks." I just thought "Not really." (Why do I feel like the only person in the world who loves Valentine's Day even when I don't have someone special to share it with? Please tell me I'm wrong...)
So anyway, he kept talking and I'd give my terse answers (that wasn't all on purpose, mind you) and after I paid and he handed me the sandwich I started walking away just as he asked for my phone number. I kept walking, pretending I didn't hear him. I didn't know how to turn him down without lying or sounding like a jerk (seriously, I don't think I do, but I'm so nice that I always try to simply avoid those type of situations). I felt so bad. I've only had one other guy ask for my number and I was hesitant, but he was a Trekkie! (We talked as we walked to our cars after seeing Picardo and Phillips' play "House Calls" at Trek Expo last year. When we were about to part ways that's when he asked for my number. I almost wanted to say "I don't think my boyfriend would like that very much," but I don't have a boyfriend. I didn't expect him to call so I gave it to him. I was right; he never called. Ray was kinda cute, though...)
