I remember watching the re-runs of this when I was a young child. I loved Dr. McCoy and his interplay with Spock. As much as I love Voyager, TOS has a very special place in my heart because it's what started it all.

Ah, the remastered TOS are starting to air...they are so great. The simplicity of the original series with updated graphics...it's a beauty to behold.

Funny, the last time this topic was replied to was on my birthday...
Anyone else here love the Trouble With Tribbles? That's got to be my mom's favorite episode.

Ha ha! I have a special place in my heart for TOS. Perhaps because it is directly responsible for my name!!
There is an episode, I can't remember the name of it. But Spock, McCoy and Kirk visit an abandoned planet. However, the planet isn't really abandoned. Inorder to escape the impending catastrophe, the population has hidden in the planets history. So Spock and McCoy get dragged into one stage of its history, Kirk into another. So Kirk gets dragged into the "caveman" era and gets saved by a girl (ofcourse!!!) named Zarabeth. Lo and behold, my parents were watching this episode, and 25 years later it's still a part of me. They named me Sarah Beth!!! I love to tell people that I am named after a Star Trek episode though!!!! So when people ask me how I can like it so much, I tell them it's in my blood.....or atleast in my name!! LOL.

That's pretty cool! I can't say I've been named after any Trek characters.. even though Janeway and I share first names (mine is spelled differently, however). Maybe I could pretend?

What's funny is that I think people close to Janeway call her Kath, which is exactly what I've gone by all these years. It's fun.

ha ha...I've never wanted my name to be Kathryn....I like my name just fine....but when I have a daughter I will name her Kathryn.
I had a funny thought a few months ago, if Richie had been a girl, and his father and I had stayed together......he would have been named Kathryn Jane May. LMAO!!!!

Wow that's a weird coincidence: Kathryn Janeway......Kathryn Jane May. You were fated to be a Trekkie; everything around you drips in Trekdom.

Ha ha....lets make things clear....I would have named my daughter that BECAUSE I am a trekfan....LOL.....I have been a Kate/Janeway fan since I was 13. Infact, I'm one of the few here who actually watched the show when it was on the air.

I saw parts of them when they were new but at the time it didn't really catch my interest (I have no idea why not).
