Mel-I got 2 new tires for my car (so fun), a new coat and sweater, money, a lame foot lotion/care gift set, a shirt, a necklace, and several books I coerced my mom into buying me ;D Rowan-that sucks about your grade, I'm so sorry! Happy New Year everyone! 2008 was kind of a hard year for me, so I'm hoping 2009 will be great! Hopefully everyone had a fun and safe New Year's Eve last night  |

Mel, well better late than never!  I'm enjoying my last week of break; classes start again for me on the 12th. I'm planning a Voyager mini marathon for tomorrow since I've done pretty much everything I needed to do today. Yay! For everyone else in school, when are you going back? & any interesting classes? I'm most excited for neurophysiological psychology. |

My classes start back on the 12th also. I don't really have any interesting classes, but this is my last year at the community college. So that's pretty exciting. In May I'll graduate with my Associates.
Then I'm going to take a year off before transferring to a four-year school and working on my bachelor's.

At least you seem to know what you want to do. I'm pretty much getting a whatever in Criminal Justice because it's what I've declared. Not that I'm not interested, but nothing holds as much interest for me as creating costumes....but that's not a very practical career choice... Oh, and hello again.  |

I'm going to be gone for two days - Friday and Saturday. Going on a Science Olympiad competition that I don't want to do because I'm competing in physics lab and I'm not ready for it.. at all. >< They're going to kill me. o__o;

Ahh! I can't believe classes start on MONDAY for me. It has seemed so far away and now Saturday's almost over and it's kind of hitting me that there will be no more sleeping and homework to be done. ;D I love school, but the novelty of it wears off quickly when I'm getting up before 7am every day! I've been doing nothing but watching Voyager and Law & Order:SVU episodes the last couple days. That's the life |

I'm back guys!  Overall, my school placed at third and we brought home a trophy. I "warm-bodied" for an event called Dynamic Planet (basically this means I sat there and wrote down things that the guy I was partnered with told me to write since he's in the event and I'm not) and we came in at 8th place. In physics lab, my partner and I placed at 12th. There were three labs and one written section. The first lab had to do with a marble rolling down a half-section of tubing, the second had to do with a spring, and... I forgot what the third was. My partner did the labs mostly and I did what I could on the written, which wasn't much, but I did my best and he was so tired by that time (he had 5 events that day!) that he didn't care too much. Tired but satisfied. EDIT: Hey, they took pictures of us as a winning team with Mr. Ramsey holding the trophy. When they're posted I'll share. |
