Okay I saw that Dark Knight this weekend and wanted to know if there was anyone else that saw it? I thought that it was amazing a well done. The Acting was AMAZING. I dont want to say to much so it will be in black. READ AT YOUR OWN RISK!!
Okay there were alot of things in the movie that got me. I loved the ejection sequence with the motorcycle, but the part where he turned the bike around on the wall was just a little to far fetched.
What did you all think about Rachel dying?? I was shocked and was not expecting it at all. Then Alferd not giving him the letter at the end. After he told him that she said that she wad going to wait. I thought that it was sweet of him not to give him the letter so that he last thoughts and memories of her were happy ones and not of what she wrote.
Did anyone feel that it was left open for a third movie to be made? I didnt get that feeling. I was thinking a movie with Two Face but he died so that blew that....

You betcha I saw The Dark Knight! Saw it after church on Sunday with my brother. At first I hadn't really been planning to see it because there are so many other movies I was a bit more excited about, but when I kept hearing how awesome it was and how well it was doing I was like, oh yeah, I'm going to see that. So glad I did!!
Black-out time:
I didn't see her death coming either! I was totally surprised! I was like what in the world did they do that for?! Then when Joker was all talking Dent into "the dark side" I was like, "gotcha...." Then they killed him and I was like aww, man, so sequel with Two Face.
Joker was freaky. Utterly terrifying! My goodness, the acting was incredible! I was in shock when I found out it was Heath Ledger who played him. It didn't really look like him to me, and ... IDK, just didn't strike me as Heath Ledger... anyhoo, the part where he told the story about his Dad, a bit of sympathy kicked in as I was like "Ah, that's why he's gone coo-coo." Yeah, then he told another story about it being his wife's fault, I was like "PSYCHOPATH!" Yeah, no more sympathy, just a longing to punch his face in, lol. Even the part where he was applauding what's-his-face becoming the new commissioner.... oy...
Yeah, by far, this was definitely the best Batman movie ever made! (Even though I've only seen 2 1/2 including this one!)

IN BLACK!!!!
I have to agree that this was one of the best Batman movies that I have seen. I like the psychotic joker better than the slap stick one. The character really didnt scare me though, with how sick and twisted the character was. I thought that it made the story.
I was confused why the added Two Face into the end of the movie. I felt like they could have left that out and did a third movie just with him and his story and taking revenge. They killed that though when Two Face died. Maybe they implied that he died but really is alive and they are going to make a third movie with that character. Who knows. I am curious to see what happens next.
The ending with Batman being hunted was a shock to me also. I wasnt expecting that. I would be interested to see if that follows the comic books. Since I adont read them I dont know. I heard though that this movie was supposed to be a close to the comic book as they could get.

BLACK
Yeah, I say Joker was scary, but he didn't scare me either. I just couldn't think of a better word to use. I too would have prefered them saving Two Face for another movie. When he went bad I felt it took a good part of my attention away from Joker, which later made me feel the end of his character (in this movie at least) was somewhat incomplete.
Yeah, the whole chasing Batman thing was great, yet so frustrating! I know it's what happens in the comics, and since he's a vigilante the cops are going to be wary about him. It's just so like arrgh! He helped you for pete's sake!!

Highlight me baby LOL ;D
I know I have been thinking about what they will do when they catch him? What will they do when they find out that it is Bruce and that he is one of the weathiest people in the city.
Will they charge him for what he did or will they see that he was doing good and ask for his help. I am not sure what wil happen. I can see it going either way.

DARK NIGHT (lol):
Hmm, I never thought about it the first way you mentioned. Only that they'd find out who he really is and accept that his intentions were all good all along. The first would be a little more interesting..... but sad... )o:

Highlight!
I agree that would be sad. I think that the way that they ended the movie was kinda weird. They could have set it up for a third if they really wanted to.

If you see a space, that means it's written in black so as not to spoil anything for those who haven't seen it yet.
I went and saw THE DARK KNIGHT again last night! I went with Josh and his dad and youngest sister. In some ways it wasn't as good the second time, but in others it was better. It was better because I saw things I hadn't seen before (including the little artwork like the Gotham flag and the Gotham license plates). It wasn't as good because I knew what was coming. The first time it was like I knew Batman was going to win but... ARRGH!!
One line I hadn't really caught before was when Joker told Batman "you complete me." I've seen Pieces of Flair (an app on Facebook) that said that with a picture of Joker, but didn't get it. Now I do and it's hilarious!
There was one time during the movie that I started singing under my breath. I think Batman and Joker were fighting and Joker said something about "old familiar places." The song immediately came to mind. It's weird because it's an old sentimental love song. Now I almost can't stand that song because it reminds me of Joker, lol!

I LOVED the Joker!
I HATE Batman! Okay... I hate Christian Bale. Him and his 'deep voice' Batman. I just wanted to punch him and yell..."Drop the VOICE!!!" CNN was even making fun of him for it.

Wow, you killed the thread, KJ. JK, lol.
So I finally got to see The Dark Knight. (It was a short while back, but I'm only getting to post it now.)
I was a fan of Heath Ledger until he did Brokeback Mountain. (Go ahead and bash, I've heard it all.) When I heard he was the Joker I wasn't sure what to think. I knew he was a great actor, but this didn't quite seem like his part. (Black from here on out:)
Oh, boy, was he amazing! I hardly recognized him. The voice was great. The movie's everything good I heard and more! So sad about the girl dying, but it does happen. (Especially since it was essential for the Two-Face plot.) I'm so sorry he's gone now. Definitely NOT your average superhero movie! It's really sad that Ledger died because he should really get an Oscar for this role. He's just so dark and gritty and disturbed. I really enjoyed how they showed Joker's past without actually showing flashbacks. In other words, he's able to get us mental images of how he became the Joker without actually seeing it. He verbalizes everything. It's kinda refreshing to get it that way.
