Ok, here's a fun little game for us to start. Each week, we should try to talk about a different episode, kind of like a little mini review. Your thoughts, ideas about the episode. It'll be kind of like the which episode did you watch today thread, except we'll all be talking about the same episode.
So, for our first episode, lets discuss.....hmm, I can't think of one right off the top of my head....I'm too tired.
Whoever is the first to read this, please pick an episode and give us your opinion on it. We'll all follow suit

Okay, I pick... Relativity. I don't think this episode gets enough attention. Yes, Captain Braxton was the wrong guy, but I can see past that. I think Ducane was a well-developed character, that Janeway had some awesome lines, and that getting to see the ship in drydock before it was launched was a nice touch. The ping pong game was a great side story, the time travel was delightful, and the ending was sensational. How many times do you get to hear someone get arrested for a crime they haven't yet committed? ;D

HahahahahA!
I LOVE that episode. Even if I do hate boobs.... I love it as a totally awesome Janeway episode!
I love it when they are explaining everything to Janeway, and she rolls her eyes and is all... "Alright, let's just get started before my headache gets any worse."

I love Relativity. I love any episode where Janeway has to face time paradoxes, especially since she despises them so.
Of course, the beginning when Voyager blows up is so traumatic, that I've finally gotten over it by the time Janeway gets the big part. And I love her little quips about her headache.

Looks like an episode hasn't been picked for this week. The thread "Is Star Trek still relevant??" made me think about Critical Care, when something was said about not all episodes are the feel-good type.
I was once obsessed with this episode, and still consider it one of my favorites. (Probably still as my favorite, but I'm not sure.) As you all probably remember, the Doctor is my favorite character and I love episodes basically surrounding him. IDK, maybe I have a thing for artificial ppl since I also love Data so much, lol. Even though it's pointed out many times throughout the episode, I almost forget he's a hologram and not a human. How he's so passionate about healing ppl that he puts a man's life in danger so he'll make things right.
I was always so emotional while watching this episode. I'd watch it by myself, lol. I'd make comments here and there and as soon as Tebbis dies I'd pace back-and-forth in anger telling Chellick how he was wrong and how stupid he is, sometimes rewinding because I wasn't finished with what I had to say, rotflol! I'd be jumping up and down with excitement when Dysek joins in on the Doctor's plan to save everyone. Sure, Tebbis dies, but at least something good was accomplished because of it.
On a side note, I started making VOY comics back in 2003 called "The EMH" and Dr. Voje is his "sidekick," lol. I should post them online sometime so I can show you. I'm not a very good artist so I put the whole idea off for about a year or two before I finally started. There's only a few of them and I haven't done one since maybe 2006.

Since it's still this week for one more day... I wouldn't call Critical Care a favorite of mine, but since I seem to enjoy the heavy character development eps better than ones that have tons of battle scenese, etc, I did enjoy it. I loved that the doctor was so forward in taking control and doing the 'right thing', corny as it sounds. I think I liked that aspect so much because when I first started watching Voyager and saw the pilot, I was so sure the Doctor would be a back burner character. But over the seven years, he changed and grew so much, and I felt like this episode really emphasized that.

Ok, we kind of fell of the wagon here. So let's start it again with a fun episode. How about Tinker Tenor Doctor Spy?
I love the funny episodes. I love it when you get to see the characters really let loose, and just be silly or ridiculous or whatever. I'm not going to pretend that the scene with Janeway and the Doctor in the conference room isn't my favorite scene in the whole episode. But I also love his Pon Far song, and Janeway's comment about his pips, and he and B'Elanna in the Mess Hall.
Over all, I love it. I think it's a great episode.

When I first saw the episode, I laughed so hard my sides hurt for the entire day. ;D
I love the line, "Forget the children, save yourselves!" that's barely audible. I think my favorite part is the pon farr song though, gets me every time.

So.... it's almost Sunday, so therefore I nominate Death Wish as the now...episode of the week.
I just love it when Q first shows up and B'elanna is all..."He says his name is Q".... Of course Janeway has heard all about him so immediately it's "Red Alert!"
I LOVE it!

Death Wish is one of my favorites because of it's philosophical ramifications. It's one of those episodes like Tuvix, that really forces you to think. There are, of course, some shining bits of humor. "Please don't call me Madam Captain."
However, on a deeper level, it's a story with no happy ending. Does Janeway force Q to stay in an existence he hates, one in which he's imprisoned in an asteroid, kept away from all contact, forced into solitary confinement for all eternity. Or does she allow him to be come mortal, fully aware of the fact that if she does, he will commit suicide. Thrown in with Q's cruel attempt at bribery, the episode breaks my heart. It is the never ending debate about quality of life, and when there is none should the right of suicide exist.

So it's Sunday.... new episode!
Waking Moments.
I was watching it this morning and I LOVE when Janeway is walking with Tuvok to Kim's quarters, and Tuvok is telling Janeway of his dream. The way Janeway keeps looking sideways at Tuvok smiling, after he told her he was getting dressed.... is priceless.

That's such a good episode. The beginning is my favorite part, of course, lol! I used to be obsessed with the imaginary (dreams, daydreams, fiction, etc). The fact that they were really living in a dream world amazed me. It wasn't my favorite episode, but it was still fun to watch (except that Chakotay is a major player in this ep, but oh well, lol).
