You might be a Star Trek fan if......

Ok, so I thought it might be fun to make a little list, kind of like the whole "you might be a redneck if" thing. But instead of being a redneck, we'll do a Star Trek fan. Now, I know we already have a Voyager one. But that might be too exclusive. So, I thought we could include all of Star Trek This is just to get us started. Please feel free to add as many as you'd like.



1. When the restaurant you work in decorates for Christmas and puts stockings up for everyone, all of your managers insist you put a communicator on yours. (yes, this happened, and yes I did it!)

2. When playing cowboys and indians with your son, you can't help but throw out the phrase "He's dead Jim," everytime you "kill" him.

3. You actually still watch TOS reruns late late at night on the weekends.....And you admit to it.

4. You've had a twenty minute debate over whether Janeway or Picard was the better captain.

5. You've had a twenty minute debate over who actually defeated the Borg: Janeway or Picard.

6. During one of these debates, you wished you had a phaser.

7. You've put a banana clip on your eyes at some point in your life and pretended to be LaForge.

8. When your son wanted to dress up as a Star Wars character, you called him a traitor and threatened to disown him. (he knew I was kidding.....I think. ;D)

9. When people attempt to mock you and say "Live Long and Prosper." You correct their hand positioning.

10. You begin your journal, diary, or blog entries with "Captain's Log."

11. When you are laying in labor and delivery at the hospital, trying to stop contractions and you are so bored you ask the nurse for paper and a pen so you can write Star Trek fanfiction. (Yes it was me, and no I did not tell her it was for the fanfic.)

12. When you actually name your child after a Star trek character. (and yes I am)

13. When anyone jokes around saying "live long and prosper" your immediate response is "Peace and long life." (The fact that you know the proper response stuns them into silence and your Trekker cover is officially blown.)

14. You get pissed off when you watch Enterprise and they actually put BORG on the show!!! Everyone knows borg don't come till TNG!!!! ARGGGGG!!!!!

15. All of the teachers in the science department know you watch Star Trek when you only have one of them for a teacher personally.

16. When you use a Star Trek character as an example for English class.

17. Most of your shirts have Star Trek logos on them.

18. You swear in Klingon.

19. You're in the first week of classes and 2 of your teachers use Star Trek examples in class and your respect for them/their likability factor goes up hugely ;D

20. While playing Catchphrase, 'Badlands' is a phrase and you have to hit 'next' because your partner doesn't respond to 'Where Voyager was looking for the Maquis!' {this happened last night}

21. When you have to write a eulogy for speech class and choose Captain Janeway as the subject. (For those who don't know, a "eulogy" is a speech or writing in praise of a person or thing, not just for dead people.)
