Ok, Full Circle hasn't even come out yet, and it's already pissing me off. I haven't been this mad about a book since I read about Janeway swiveling around in her command chair, in "Bless The Beasts." Anyone who bothered to actually watch an episode of Voyager would see why it is physically impossible for Captain Janeway to swivel around in her command chair. So, this is my ranting thread. And I thought, how better to start it off than with a list of SUGGESTIONS for Star Trek writers. SUGGESTION ONE: IF you want to write a Voyager book, you should probably actually watch an episode. Or twenty. Or all of them. Character synopsis DO NOT suffice. SUGGESTION TWO: If you wish to reference a scene from an aired episode (I.E. Janeway destroying the array in Caretaker), WATCH THE EPISODE FIRST, to ensure there are no mistakes. It takes TWO minutes to check the clip and ensure that your writing matches the scene.
