I know how we all "love" Berman so I thought you might like to see this bit of news that was on ST's Facebook feed. Rick Berman will answer your questions in an upcoming StarTrek.com story. What do you want to ask Rick Berman? What would we like to ask Berman? Post them here!!!

Well... I'd start out with something like... 'What the (bLEEP) were you thinking?!'
When he says, "What?"
I'd reply, "Where do I start?!"

I'd ask him why he accepted a job working for Star Trek when he very obviously hated everything that it was.

So apparently today is Jeri Ryan's Birthday. I only know this because of the FB news feed. Well I read the comments to see if anyone said they hated her. OMG most of the comments are by sick, twisted, perverted men and some women who have no sense of taste. Saying everything from: Happy Birhtday "HAPPY B-DAY JERI!!! You were one of the best characters to grace the STAR TREKuniverse. she is so hot oh ya happy birthday" "d**n how I miss seeing that every week. Happy Birthday!" "ill meet you for a little synthahol later in holodeck 2" "What I would give for a couple hrs. on the HOLO Deck with Seven MMMMMMM!!!!" This comment wait for it..... was by a woman... "I think you were one of the hottest star trek actresses. Happy birthday." CAN WE SAY GAG

I dont mind her, but the writers pushed Janeway and B'Elanna aside after Seven came on. I dont know if you have noticed watching the show, but Seven fixes everything, Seven knows what to do, Seven saves the ship. Granted I dont mind this in small potrions, that makes sense. But everytime something bad happenes Seven is there to save the day. Urggg. I hate Berman and Braga.

True, but the Doctor also became kind of a scene stealer toward the end. I can see it being hard to not want to explore the possibilities with technological characters. Of course, in his case, Bob Picardo said that he'd get a lot of chances to talk with the writers and pitch ideas about the Doctor.

I agree with everything except the Janeway bit. Her character rivals only Seven for being the most developed. I understand the need to develop her more due to her joining in the middle, however what they did to the rest of the characters was a travesty.
Janeway continued to develop and grow because 1) she was the captain and the REAL star of the show. 2) she was Seven's mentor. You can't have the student with more depth than the teacher.
However, poor Harry, Tom, Neelix, and Tuvok never stood a chance once Seven joined the crew.
I said something to Tina about it a while back because it irks me, whenever Kate talks about Voyager she talks about being accepted by the main demographic (men 18-25 or whatever it was). And that was the reason for bringing in the walking boobs.
The thing I don't get is EVERY Voyager fan I meet is female. EVERY SINGLE ONE!!!
We must outnumber the men ten to one (if not more).....
Seems to me, the producers, in their effort to pull in the men, really shot themselves in the foot. They should have used Voyager as the real opportunity to pull female into the Star Trek franchise. It was the PERFECT opportunity. And instead, they catered to the already loyal trekkers who would have watched the show regardless (Enterprise's length is proof of this).....
I was a Trek fan before....I won't lie. I grew up watching TNG and the TOS movies. But Voyager was the franchise that caught my imagination. It was the reason I still love (mostly) Trek. It was the one I could identify with, the one with a female captain who inspired, the one that sent me to conventions.
