OK, so we in Tulsa have been gearing up for Trek Expo in June. I'm not going to let anything stop me from being there this year! I hadn't yet heard about any of the guests who are coming until an e-mail I just got. Here's the list:  George Takei Christopher Judge Jewel Staite Ray Park Gil Gerard Erin Gray Felix Silla Thom Christopher  Garrett Wang Richard Kiel Cindy Pickett Daphne Ashbrook I'm so glad Garrett's showing up again! This will make the 3rd year in a row! I guess he really likes us  Sadly, there's only 3 people on the list that I know who they are without needing to look them up. Thankfully, the list isn't finished. I'm still looking forward to the time when I can see Bob Picardo and Ethan Phillips again. And, of course, Kate! |

I know this is a double post, but this is the coolest thing ever and I couldn't wait to tell it!
So I was sitting at registration today getting ready for people to come in and Garrett Wang came by and the guy next to me got up and talked to him. I didn't listen to what they were saying, but I was waiting for an opening to ask for a picture of him for you ladies. After a couple minutes, he came up to me and asked my name and talked with me for about a minute. My thoughts were, "oh, he's just as nice as Chase Masterson!" It was after that that I got the pic.
When I was taking my break for dinner, Garrett walked through and said hi to me again and asked to make sure he got my name right, which he did. So I sat around for a while longer before I had to go back to my post, then finally decided to go walk around the exhibitors' room. As I was starting down the hallway by myself, Garrett walked in again from the opposite direction. I smiled at him, thinking he'd smile back and then walk by, but he stopped me to talk. He asked if I lived in the area and where I worked and some small-talk stuff. Then he asked about how long I'd been attending Trek Expo and what got me to come in the first place. So I told him about seeing in commercials that Bob Picardo, Ethan Phillips and Kate were coming in 2007 and decided it was time to finally come.
At the end of the conversation, he told me that he's only been engaged once in his life, but in the face I'm the spitting image of her! I was thinking "aww!! Such a sweetie!!" He said that when he first saw me at registration he was like, "OMG, did Taylor dye her hair red?" but when he didn't see that kind of recognition in my eyes when I looked at him he knew I wasn't her.
Aww!! I adore Garrett now!!

Ha ha ha, that's awesome! I only hope that would happen to me and Zachary Qunito...*sighs happily*

I wasn't planning on spending any money this year, but now I think I'm going to get a photo op with Garrett and Manu Intiraymi on Sunday. Might as well  Honestly, I didn't even know that Manu was going to be here until this morning! LOL |
