I'd never been a fan of The Office until about a month ago. One of the guys I work with was talking about the latest episode at the time, "Goodbye, Michael." I have HuluPlus on my phone, so we started watching it right there. We went back to work, but I finished the episode on my own later. Because I'm emotionally preparing to move soon, and have realized how much I love the people I work with, this episode really had an effect on me. So, I decided to watch the show from the beginning so I could really know the characters Michael was saying good-bye to. I finished it last week (it took me less than a month to get through all 7 seasons; 5 weeks if you include the one week I went without watching and the one week I went back and watched only episodes I'd already seen).
I now love this show so much that I'm going through and watching it again. This time I'm going to more pay attention to the episode titles so when someone asks me what some of my favorite episodes are, I won't have to be like "uh... I don't know what's it's called..."
As for the UK The Office, I started watching the first episode, but stopped because I wanted to finish watching the US version first. Not sure when I'll pick back up on it.
