Ok, I know we have a couple of different threads for movies, tv shows and what not with Voyager actors. But I thought it might be a good idea to make a single thread.
Right now I am watching Hundred Percent. It is one of Garrett's movies. I wanted to watch Pinata (no heckling, I know it's going to suck)....but I got this one first.
I'll edit this later to say what I thought about it....but so far all I can say is Garrett looks Y-U-M-M-Y!!!! Especially in the tan leather jacket........mmmmmmmmmmm.
EDITED: Ok, so this movie probably won't be for everybody. There is heavy swearing, drug use, etc. It follows three friends: Isaac, Slim and Troy in their every day lives.
The beginning is actually very funny because they are sitting there talking about Star Trek and Sulu.
Isaac is the romantic coffeeshop worker who's hoping to meet his "perfect woman." Slim is the rastafarian who gets mixed up with the wrong people, and has to find a way out of it.
Garrett plays Troy, a struggling actor who keeps being asked to portray his roles with more "Oriental flavor." He's psyched when he gets the leading role in a movie about a police officer. It becomes dehumanizing to him though, when they start asking him to play into the stereotypes by wanting him to use karate, etc.
In the commentary, Garrett said that there were alot of parrallels to what Troy went through as an actor, and what he went through starting off.
Also, one thing I thought was fun is that Troy's girlfriend's name was Cleveland. ;D She was played by Lindsay Price, from 90210.
The movie can be slow moving at times, and some scenes simply just run too long. But, it is an interesting watch. And Garrett does look absolutely yummy. (Not that that would sway anyone here..... ;D ;D ;D)
