Awe, that's sad. Here in Virginia, a personalized license plate is only $10 more a year than a normal one.

They generally are not that much, but since my car is brand new the dealership got plates that last four years, so I would have to pay for four years and also the additional cost....which is only like 25 and then the "cultural" plates are 30 each ....so it would add up to about 170! Eeek. I'd rather save the money for the trip and get the plates later on.

I think that in Colorado the personal plates are 25 more a year then regular plates. Since regular plates cost me about 300 a year I decided to pass. I might get them later!

they are only like 5 or 6 dollars here in Texas....

Vanity plates and personalization adds $70 extra to the fees here so I'd have to pass as well. But I'm moving soon, who knows, maybe it will be less there.

We have to pay owner ship tax here in Colorado. So to get a little 22 inch sticker it cost me $200 this year.
