I would create a library with an ever changing series of books. Imagine a library that you never finished? What would you do with your own personal holodeck?

Star Trek related: I would totally play the Captain Proton holonovel, or I'd finish the Worst Case Scenario holonovel. un-Star Trek: I'd have tea with FDR, Laura Ingalls Wilder, David, Kate Mulgrew and my friend Pam. These are the people who have inspired me the most and have had the largest impact on my life. To be able to sit and speak with all of them (even a holographic version) would be amazing.

Hummm.... If I had one....I would have a coffee with Shakespeare, Elizabeth I, Dante', Judy Dench, FDR and Elanor, Kate Mugrew, Streisand.....this list can go on forever, these are just the ones off the top of my head.
Now, if this is reality....and we develop this technology tomorrow.... I would have a Voyager holo-novel....Chakotay would be gone and I would be the first officer! hehehehe!

I would have a deep conversation with Kate. I would not want to ask her questions about Voyager, or Mrs.Columbo, or who she has rubbed elbows with, but a conversation. I would want to hear her talk about life. I have noticed in my attempts to know her more, that this is not your ordinary actress. This is a passionate, dauntless, incredibly intellegent woman. And I would just want her to simply tell me about her life, what she has expierenced, what she believes....maybe advice, some guidance. My mother and I have always been close but there has always been a barier, we never got too serious, and in that way I look up to Kate as that kind of adamant role model I never had. So to sit and listen to her would be in my own way, a sort of spirit-guide. It may sound like the cornest thing ever but its true.

kj, that is soo sweet. I totally know what you mean about the rolemodel thing. Kate is TOTALLY like that for me too! I feel so lucky to have two amazing women serve as rolemodels to me, and both of them entered my life when I was a teenager. Kate, ofcourse, is the first, and the second is my dear friend and mentor Pam. As silly as it sounds, I don't think I would have made it through my teenage years without them.

Thank you. There are those times that I come out of my scarcastic shell and enter into my true deep feelings.... but don't get too use to it.

The clean version:
Being a guitarist, I would jam with Randy Rhoads and Jimi Hendrix.
Then I would play a concert at madison square garden as Randy Rhoads.
Then I would become the captain of my own ship and kick some borg ass.

Heehee....besides go from beginning to end of a Voyager holo-novel? Well, I'd play a character in many many many books and TV series....play out some of my fanfic ideas.....be able to fly..... Oh man, I could go on forever....although I'd prolly get addicted and have to go through rehab and have my holodeck destroyed or something

I agree with eloeehez ... I would place myself in my favorite stories and shows....but I'd always be the bad guy, I love being the bad guy. Go toe to toe with a hero and bring them to their knees (no jokes I read somewhere this was a PG room). Or I would be a good guy...place myself in a battle with the Borg fighting along side Janeway...oooo make myself a Q!....man there are so many ideas!

hmm....my own holodeck... if we're talking about in-trek, i'd like to run the da vinci program, he was way ahead of his time, very intelligent man. talking about real life, the obvious things would be voyager, then star wars (i am a bit of an obsessive when star wars is concerned ) i would also like to see what elite force would be like on a holodeck, its a great game

I'd probably have some detective stories I'd participate in (something like a Nero Wolfe novel). In TNG, I liked who played Professor Moriarty, maybe I could even foil one of his evil schemes.
