Do muschroom really have adafenozine? I know the other chemical psilocyn (and I obviously butchered the spelling) but I've never heard of adafenozine. Just wondering. Haha maybe since it's 2 o'clock in the morning and I'm obviously not asleep, I'll google it!

Psilocybin/Psilocin Mushrooms
Both psilocybin and psyilocin produce yawning, inability to concentrate, restlessness, increased heart rate, and hallucinations (visual and auditory). These symptoms may appear 30 to 60 minutes after the mushroom is eaten and can last about four hours.
Amanita muscaria
Amanita muscaria contains muscimol that produces feelings of euphoria, hallucinations, muscle jerks, drowsiness, sweating, pupil dilation, and increased body temperature. Symptoms appear 30 to 90 minutes after eating this mushroom and are most intense after two or three hours. People who eat these mushrooms usually fall into a deep sleep. Some people describe the effects of eating Amanita muscaria as similar to being intoxicated by alcohol."
I suppose the mushoom Janeway and Chakotay would have eaten, had they actually been the reason for their ahem raucous night, would have been of the amanita muscaria variety?
Apparently D.A. Kent made up the word adafenozine, because when I googled the word only one result came up-his story!

Well, KJ, I thought to myself, if I could find some mushrooms that did that, I could just cook up some nice mushroom spaghetti sauce for this guy I have a crush on ;D And then we could both eat it and have a lovely night If you get my drift...hehe Unforunately, since there doesn't seem to be an actual mushroom that would have only aphrodisiac effects and none of the bad ones, I'm out of luck   I'll have to reel him in the old fashioned way |

LOL, they are talking about Diana Kent's J/C story "The Trouble With Mushrooms"
It's a pretty good NC-17 story, sadly she isn't writing any longer.

Elorie, I wish she was still writing. It's a great story, as was the other one I read of hers. So do I, her "Slim Chance" and "The Stubborn Hand of Fate" were the second J/C fics that I read. There is still hope though because recently there has been a surge of old writers turning up on VAMB and some like Caffy are producing new fic. We just finished "Secret Santa" which is a story/art exchanger and that produced 51 new pieces, of J/C, mostly stories. Mine isn't up yet because it was a rush write and I need another edit, but as an example my daughter produced some "rendered" art. Admiral Aeris is very interested in computer animation and is learning sculpting using "Poser" software, once she can get that down then you can make the figures move. This is what she has done, a couple of the renders are not finished. The ones of Admiral Janeway needs more "texturing". www.jceternal.com/Janeway%20Renders.htmI would ask that if you snag any of these, please leave the copyright information with the pictures, as the backgrounds are actually the property of someone else, which is the main reason I posted the link instead of the pictures.
