Ha ha, long time no see seems like. I don't think I've logged in since maybe Thursday? It seems like forever, though.
Looks like the board's getting to be kickin' again. Still lovin' this thread!
So anyway, I'm forcing myself to slow down in my Harrison Ford obsession. (Don't freak, I didn't say I'm quitting! *wink*) Honestly, I know there are more important things in life than an actor I'll probably never get to meet. Like my friends and family.
So anyway, I know I've mentioned my friend Scott a lot. Fellow Trekkie at work, took me to see Indy 4 (all four times!), hanging out with him a lot, etc. Well, you know that saying "a man and a woman can never be 'just friends'"? I used to scoff at that and try to prove it wrong, but can I be wrong? I think I'm falling for this guy... When I think of that saying, I'm not thinking all men and women, just those who are close with each other. IDK what you guys think, but ... oh whatever. I'm going to stop.

Oh, wow, Salina. Not exactly sure what you mean exactly by how you take that phrase, but it kinda sounds like the way I always took it. And I've questioned myself hundreds of times, lol! Not saying this thing with Scott is nothing, but also doesn't mean it has to be something. Sorry if that's no help with anything, but honestly that's all I got.
Yeah, KJ, I heard ginger ale helps with morning sickness. Hope you feel better soon.
OK, so I went to that Twilight thing last night. I'll post a report (& a pic) L8R. I'm watching a movie with Josh right now (& I'm on his comp, lol).

Yeah, it's just a crush really, so I'm going to wait and see if anything happens. If it doesn't it's no biggie. There are "other fish in the sea." *wink*

Wow, KJ congratulations!!! I'm sure you'll be a great mom Things sound like they're going pretty well for everyone, which is great to hear. I myself have been working a lot lately the last couple weeks and this week and next, trying to earn as much as possible before my vacation the week after next and then going back to school and working only on the weekends. I can't wait for that though, working all the time is hard!

News on my foot: my personal injury attorney thinks it may be actionable. I still have to wear a special boot to walk with.

I just realized last night how insanely busy I'll be this school year. I'm switching deptartments where I work and I'll have to do full-time hours. I'll work from 6-8, then school from 8:30 'til 11:20 or 12 (depending what day of the week it is), then work until at least 6. There's also always the possibility of being required to stay later to finish all the work. I'll definitely try to be asleep by 10 every night so I'm not over tired.
Dang, 4 hours of "free time"? Not even free time because I'll have to take every bit of time I can to read and do my assignments. 2nd year's supposed to be easier than 1st, but I had it easy 1st year since I lived with my parents...
Dangit... I'll have to let Josh know that I can't go to CAP (Civil Air Patrol) with him on Monday nights anymore. I can't hang out at his house almost every night either since I usually don't leave until 11:30-midnight. I could sleep in one of his sisters' rooms probably, but I'm a lot older than both of them so it would probably be a little weird. (Though I did become friends with Becca a few years ago, and I love Ashleigh to death cuz she's adorable, for a freshman.)
Anyhoo... So you might not see many posts from me here.

Whoa, CAP? I never met anyone else who even knew what it was. What rank/grade is he? I'm a C/CMSgt. I know what you mean... when school starts for me, September 2nd, I think, I'll be absurdly busy as well. =/

Hmm, I'm not sure what his rank is. He only recently got back into it because he was gone for about year for school in Texas. Now he's a senior member and wanting me to join too. (Actually wanting to start his own flight, bringing me in along with three cadets this week. He's got more in mind.) I had a lot of fun listening to a couple of the other senior members talk about their recent trips to Fond du Lac and NESA. Then the kids were hilarious talking about their experiences at NESA and an encampment in Missouri (which only one went to). I honestly know nothing about planes, but I'm willing to learn. If Josh is interested, you can count on me being willing.

Oh, CAP's a great program. =) I just don't know if I'll be able to keep going during school. Right now I haven't been going because of the tendinitis. I had my encampment at Dayton. If seniors have to attend something like encampment, I recommend going as early on as possible. I went after I'd been out for a year but had a fairly high rank and was expected to know everything I knew a year before. It's much easier if they can say, "oh, she's new." Keep me updated on if you get a new flight going or anything. I'd be happy to offer ideas or things, being more fresh a cadet.

KJ-I LOVE watching Voyager on our big screen! Salina-;D Well I hope this crush goes somewhere...and you're right, if it doesn't, plenty other fish out there! DDL-that's awful that you still have to wear the boot I hope you can have something done about it, since it clearly wasn't your fault Mara-I feel you on the busy schedule. I'll be taking a full load of classes and working 24hrs Fri-Sun every weekend. Yuck!

So I went back to CAP again Monday night. I was kinda bored at first because I'm not used to being there, but I did get to watch one of my friends get promoted. There's this girl I know who went to my church for a short time that goes there. The 1st Lt. is 18 and I think it was his last time being there as one of the teens, and the one chosen to take his place was my friend. Go 1st Lt Wood!! YAY!!

Thanks, Mara and Lauren, for your encouragement. I really appreciate it!
So I haven't been online for a while, I know. Looks like the board got pretty busy while I was gone! Hope it stays that way!

Me too! Gosh, I can't believe it's almost the end of August! I'm moving up to Belton for school tomorrow and just have all this stress on me and it's times like these that I just want to curl up and watch Voyager all day So I figure watching an episode tonight will put me in a good mood for tomorrow!
