i have stupid friends who say voyagers crap and really wind me up and one of them just sed that kate can't act and voyager is crap i want to kill him seriously. does anyone else have this lack of respect and if so how to u deal wit it without killin someone i mean they're idiots in thinkin wot they think but still i just need to vent Obviously Voyager is above his head. Poor pathetic little creature; he can't understand the fancy lingo and technobabble. If he tries, his brain will melt. And as for Kate, he's probably intimidated by any woman that can kick his butt. He must be scared of many girls........he should wear a diaper so that if he ever sees Kate on t.v., he doesn't get scared and crap all over himself. Her brilliance would destroy him. I'm just saying.......

I HATE that. My mom always makes fun of Kate's voice, and I get so so mad.

You should tell that person how THAT there nifty cell phone he/she's using, along with ipods, laptops, camcorders, the internet, CAT scans and MRIs, and tons of other technology were all inspired by Star Trek technology. Some guy even evented a Cyberknife — a computer-controlled robotic device that employs a laser beam to remove cancers without even the smallest cut (HE SAID HE GOT THE IDEA FROM STAR TREK). There's reality for ya..........tell him/her to shut their piehole!!! Unfortunately, not only does he not use anything from that list besides a cell phone... he's my father.

my dad is kinda the same and he was the one who introduced me to voyager but at times even he gets annoyed, for example when watchin heroes there was a scene that was just like something from voyager when they met the caretakers mate, getting sidetracked, anyways i sed that is like wot happened in voyager and kept tlkin bout it till the end of heroes . he got very annoyed then and he sed somethin that scared me so badly he sed i wish i had never introduced u to voyager, it made me cry and he apoligised after which was ok

It's my dad that got me into Voyager as well (er.. kind of. He had it on the TV at the time and I happened to walk in.. and that's when my obsession started, even though I'd appreciated "Drone" previously without his being involved).
He'll watch TOS, TNG, and Voyager all right, he just doesn't like discussing it at all. He tells me he usually falls asleep during Voyager episodes anyway (how COULD he?!?!).

For whatever reason, he thinks Voyager is boring. Can you believe he thought that Basics parts I and II were boring as well? I thought they had more action than most episodes do. It kept me on the edge of my seat. I definitely like Janeway better than Kirk. I still prefer Picard, but he and Janeway are so different that's like comparing apples and oranges. (I realize that's a dangerous statement to make on a forum full of Janeway fanatics, but I don't mean it negatively. I love Janeway too. )

Wow, Belanna, that's just... not right. I'm glad my mom is into Trek (though she hasn't started watching Voyager yet I've already convinced her it's worth her time, so when she comes home she should be a new fan), if she wasn't, I wouldn't have any other Trekkies to talk to in person.

My dad got me into Star Trek, but he isn't a big fan (he isn't really a big fan of anything come to think of it). I discovered Voyager myself and have just completed watching all of the episodes! Lucky for me, a have a friend who is a big ST fan (he hasn't seen Voyager, but he owns all of the films and has watched all the TNG episodes). I have also managed to convert one of my friends into being a ST fan by having him watch all of the films. I was even able to get him to watch the first episode of Voyager (luckly it was on spike, good timing) and he seemed to be interested.

I find that the best way to get a non-trekkie to watch Voyager with you, is to play a humorous episode. Often, they're so amazed that the usually serious Trek characters are acting so funny, that they will watch in awe. That's how I hooked 2 of my nieces onto Voyager (Last week they even watched Coda and Scientific Method with me into the wee hours of the morning.......*tear*......I'm so proud of them).
