I know a guy who told me he thinks that out of all the Trek series, Voyager is his least favorite. But fortunately we respect each other's opinions and he doesn't go out of his way to say negative things about it.
Try calling your friend a name in Klingon...

Wow, that's kind of rude. If you all are friends, why does he go out of the way to insult Voyager and Kate? If a friend of mine did that, I'd probably stop talking to them....LOL. Fortunately, my friends know better than that. They can make fun of me being a trekker all they want to...doesn't bother me one bit....but they better leave Kate out of it.

Yeah..... Everyone knows that that is one thing you DON NOT joke or tease me about in any sense of the word. My brother-in-law knows that given his personal experience which involved me and a very long, very hard, very wooden cooking utensil! One cracked wrist and I don't hear anymore complaining when I watch Voyager ALL day LONG!!!

My parents have finally learned that I am not going to stop watching it no matter how much they tease me about it. They have finally stopped and when we were in Vegas, my mom asked very nicely what day we wanted to got to the Experience. I thought that was really nice.
I have learned to ignor people who like to talk badly about Voyager. I do keep in mind that they are intitled to their own opinion. But to drag it out and to be rude about it that isnt right. That actaully makes me mad and when I get mad I get really really quiet. There are the rare occasions where I yell and can be really mean to people who are really disrespectful about Sat Trek in general.
I figure it is there loss that they don't watch Star Trek, beacuse there are alot of great morals and lessons to be held. The show also shows you how the world should be. No hatered no violence, sickness, war, poverty. I have also noticed that people who watch Star Trek are alot more respectful towards other people because of watching it!!
WE ROCK!!!!!!

your friend needs some lessons in respect. i know some boys who could sort that out...only jking! trekkers, i find, are just nicer people in general. they are more intelligent, more observant and more involved in the world around them. They look at star trek and they see what we could be, what we should be. Kate portrays that beautifullyand if ur friend can't see that i would suggest that they visit an optometrist followed by a psychiatrist

That's a great idea, JF. Whenever I start really liking a show I (obviously) start talking about it, and one person I know loves to remind me that it's not real and why am I wasting my time with Voyager when it's so far from reality? I really wish I could smack him upside the head sometimes...

You should tell that person how THAT there nifty cell phone he/she's using, along with ipods, laptops, camcorders, the internet, CAT scans and MRIs, and tons of other technology were all inspired by Star Trek technology. Some guy even evented a Cyberknife — a computer-controlled robotic device that employs a laser beam to remove cancers without even the smallest cut (HE SAID HE GOT THE IDEA FROM STAR TREK). There's reality for ya..........tell him/her to shut their piehole!!!
