I agree showing respect is the best thing to do. There were DS9 actors at the convention in Ohio. I dont really like DS9 but I didnt go up to the fans waiting for their autographs and tell them that I didnt like them. It is respect. MALES.....  |

 :-/Oh man, after Kate did her talk, this old guy and his wife came up to sit in the chairs next to my sister and I. I told them," that's terrible, you guys missed Kate- she was brilliant!" The man said he didn't really want to see her. I was taken aback, "What!!  (I almost said WTF, but I controlled myself.) He said she had little command presence and yadda yadda yadda.....I don't remember what else he said because everything went blurry and I held my hand up in front of him to stop him. I interrupted him saying, "look, I respect all Trek fans.....I don't agree with a thing you say, but I will fight to the death for your right to say it......and Kate was amazing, so too bad you don't appreciate her." He smiled and took my que to shut up about Kate. Or maybe it just hit him that he was in a room full of obsessed Kate fans and that maybe he should shut his pie hole before somebody hit him. He was a Kirk fan- old school. Figures. What got me is that him and his wife got there just in time to get Kate's autograph.......WHAT THE HELL??!!! If you don't like her, give me your autograph, darn it!! He didn't deserve her autograph.

What on earth is wrong with them?? If I don't like someone, I'm not going to go and get their autograph. He probably got it to sell on eBay or something. (I like TOS a lot too but it's pretty obvious that Janeway is way superior to Kirk). Someone should have decked him.

I was soooo tempted to yank his "deluxe seating" ID off of his grungy little neck and take off with it, so he wouldn't get her autograph, but then I thought maybe if he met her in person he would change his closed, little mind.

It is sad that people do that when they really dont like the character/actor/actress. I agree, i bethe is selling it on ebay. You know what is wore, tehre was probally someone who really wanted her autograph but couldnt get it because there were no more tickets left. The stupid man took their ticket. How sad...
